YoGjakarta , at Hyatt Regency Hotel 2010

For so many years , I've been waiting for .... celebrating Chinese New Year in other country finally come true!!! I always wish to have a family trip , leave the house without worrying anything and enjoy the trip . My brother was studying at Indonesia , Jogjakarta . It was a good chance and reason for us to have a family trip ! I have been praying and looking forward for weeks , so that nobody will disturb our trip . NOBODY!!! Let's put it aside and go to our main topic of this post . My brother book a hotel for us, we put all our things in and have a rest . After we recharge our energy , it was already considered night time there . My brother have plan
everything very nicely and Hyatt Hotel~~~~let's go!!!!

Reunion dinner at a 5 star hotel. Talking about hotel is all about buffet , but at Hyatt Hotel ... i give the food 3 star . I didn't eat much on that day . It doesn't suit my taste. That is the time i feel how rich people enjoy their expensive buffet , without eating and just for the sake of  ''mood''  .

They do have the feeling of what 5 star hotel is all about . To avoid embarrassment, we use fork and knife to eat. Very strict style . Hahahahaha!!! It was New Year Eve , so everything is red. It gave me shock when they suddenly appear lion and dragon dance while we are dinning !!!!

They come out like this , rounding where the dessert was in place . My dessert ~~~ ! Didn't manage to take before they come.

 

The lion dance was not bad ,except the drum ( sucks !). Wasn't even a chinese new year drum song , but it was a good entertainment for New Year Eve (live!) . A girl came with an empty ang pao, that's where you can identify those people who are rich  You can buy the ang pao from her , put the money inside , give to the lion and you can pat the lion or the lion will personally dance to you . Ahhh...you can see some rich man grandpa or father carrying his grandson or son giving ang pao and happily patting the lion. They also purposely buy the lion head toy for their children to play . Me ?

The champagne and some kuih . I didn't took the photo of the food there , you don't want to spoil your own appetite don't you ? Of course as i said in another post , hotel's buffet always change. It's not always this bad. If you can eat lamb or beef , there will be more food choices . Well , i break my religion's rules that day (again!) , i eat beef ( no choice! sorry) . It taste like pork, amazingly accepted . I didn't take the photo of it because it was totally black . Doesn't turn out to be appetizing ...

My mom took the dessert after the lion and dragon dance was gone .This was wonderful ! It was self mix. You can mix anything that have been prepared . Coconut , peanut , jelly and so on .

Finally ... after 21 years , a family photo ...sob sob (cry ~)!!! The only 4 of us !!!! Father , mother , brother and me !!!!

Outside the hotel ~

They have seats to enjoy the night view and some tradition music played by the workers there.

It is a very relaxing design . Their service is 5 star ! Very efficient ,very good and very extra ordinary polite ! If u ask the guard to call a taxi , taxi will suddenly appear within 5 minutes from don't know where ! I bet they are hiding behind those tree ? Impossible ! How they hide their taxi behind a tree ?

Watch Tzu Chi Acting Live 1/5/2011 part 1

Me and my mom got 2 free ticket for watching Tzu Chi live show when we donating money at Tzu Chi center . This post is more on video that i capture during watching Tzu chi live show , which i want to share with everyone . It was amazing , everything is organize well . The traffic , the stage , and what you can think of , is what they have already prepared . It was raining when me and my mom when there ! Count my blessing , it is very near my house . While others are so far away from their home , just to watch the live show . Imagine how many people are so willingly and it was night time.
Let's begin ... when we reach there (the school , where they have this live show) , they have members to guide you where to go and where to park your cars . Members guide you walk in , giving you a very heart warming clap and welcome .
Here is a photo of the whole live show . It start from the upper left to the right . Click it for bigger view . Part 1 will be showing all on photo.

I was sit beside and far away from the stage . Some blocking here and there but at least i still can see. When it comes to photo , it may half gone .

Food paradise !!! Do not hold back when it comes to buffet , just take !!!! 
Tips of tasting more food during buffet :
1)When you want to eat buffet , please make sure you have been eating a lot for the pass few days . It trains your stomach to contain more. Starving is a wrong method .
2) Take one of each food . Do not take rice, except it is very special . Eating rice is very filling ! Take light food and those food that can make you grow more hungry.
3) Eat fast . If you are full , try to burp . Do not vomit out , it spoils your digestive system !
4) Drink some juice and take your time to rest then continue eating again .

Eating buffet can show which class of people u are. Normal people like us do enjoy buffet but will always end up suffering from eating too much , is a food war zone ! While those rich people , you can spot them so easily . You will be screaming away and wondering why they waste their money just to drink a cup of coffee and eating one slice of cake. They are just enjoying the buffet atmosphere .

Herbal soup . Really thick herbal taste !

All types of cake !!! From chocolate , blueberry , mango ... and so on . Hahaha , the way we force all cakes into one plate is a horror but of course , it doesn't come like this .

I did eat something raw . Like all the sea food  example prawn ,scallop is accepted . But the oyster ....NO!!!! NO~NO~NO !!! Eww , sorry i have to say , it's so slimy ! The raw taste is so strong that it couldn't cover with the lemon!!! If u ever see Mr. Bean , u can imagine how my facial expression. I can't even swallow it!

I wonder what cheese is this . I think it is blue cheese , is it ? It taste so nice that I hope there is some wine to eat with it .

Uh ho...the strawberry accidentally fell on the beef meat . Just ignore it , hahahahah . Talking about the beef, I really didn't know that was beef and I eat it . My friend ask my roommate ' y u let her eat beef ? she cannot eat beef ' , my roommate was shock. She forgot that i cannot eat beef . She apologize ' i forgot , sorry !' and i say ' Huh? Ya, i cannot eat beef . The beef  WAS NICE !!!' . We laughed! Sorry god , i really didn't mean it.

Cookies , cakes , pudding , and all kinds of fruits . Those strawberry was damn big! I like that cream baked cookie !!! There is a tree shape where you can plug those cookie from it . I find it very interesting . Ahh~~i should have taken the photo of it !

Lastly , this is me trying to dip the strawberry into the strawberry cream chocolate. I really waste lots of food that day . My roommate say if you don't eat they will throw , to reassure the food is fresh made . If you take and don't eat they will also throw . What a waste , this is how they maintain their status . Anyway , the food is good .

Shangri La Hotel buffet 1

Date :19 February 2011-  Went to Shangri La Hotel with my roommate and my friend to ''EAT BUFFET'' .
I wonder why i would do such things , going that far and wait ,just to enjoy the food there . I can't blame my roommate for seducing me to go there . Why ? because the food was excellent ! Due to all the food photos that my roommate shown me and all nights of describing , ruin my whole night sleep drooling away .I finally make my decision . Come and amuse me with all the food you got ! At first, we kinda of disappointed that the buffet is fully book. This won't stop us from going there . We decide to wait and make use of our luck . Hahaha , yup, we'r real lucky !
Shangri La Hotel = 5 star hotel , that means no wearing my usual clothing . I get nag from my roommate for wearing the usual clothes . It's true , that's really classy indeed !
I shall post some pictures of the surrounding . My roommate told me , it always change . Anyway , at 19 February 2011, the surrounding is like this!

Lumut's beach + Mind relaxing

When you are down and out , ever feel like going to the beach and cry out to your heart content ? Or wanna have some nap and relaxation at the beach ? Here are some photos of the beach that will make you have some imagination . Blue sky , peaceful sea water and sand fill with foot print. Those are all a make up story. In reality , it won't be exactly like this . It would be all about technique of capturing the scenery of the beach , using different angle and took only the beautiful side of the beach . Take a break and have some tea while enjoying the photos

My Senior's Cooking*

Just like what my title says ' My senior's cooking ' , she really cooks delicious malay style's food ! She likes to take food for us to eat after she knows that we love to eat her food . Is kinda of embarrassing because we keep eating her food . She comes far from home , we don't know weather the food is for herself or purposely for us .
Her sotong sambal taste so nice that everyone in the class can't wait the food rotate to them and back to them.

Everybody have a scoop or twice a scoop of it , some of us don't even want to let go of that spoon !!! ''Hey, is my turn now !!!'' saying very anxiously . hahahahahah!!!!

When we are still eating and enjoying our food , unfortunately Madam ( my lecturer ) comes in . We still staring at the food ,and madam say ' enough of eating , XX ( my senior's name ) stop cooking for them to eat !' There goes our food , been taken away ( have to wait until class is over) . Sob sob * keeps us so hungry because the whole room smell of the sotong sambal .

This is one of her cooking too , fried rice with chicken sambal . It's spicy but you just can't stop eating .

This is her mom's durian green peas . It's sweet and taste like durian jam . I just wish i have bread to eat with it .

Sorry for the last time we rush away and only eat a few scoop of her food . This is to make a stop for her . She need to study for exam . Thanks for all the good food that my senior cooks for us =D peace!!!
